Chris Jericho is known for stories about what went down between him and those he competed with in the past. One person who he’s had many matches with is ‘The Game’ Triple H. Although the two had a heated rivalry in WWE, Jericho apparently created a funny nickname for his rival.

During his appearance on the “True Gordie” podcast, Jericho revealed that he used to call Triple H “Prince Charles.” The nickname obviously refers to Triple H’s relationship with Vince McMahon, as many believe he’s destined to be the true heir apparent of WWE.

I used to call Triple H ‘Prince Charles.’ Prince Charles [isn’t] king, right, until the Queen passes away. And she’s been there 30, 40 years. She ain’t going anywhere. Triple H is the Prince Charles of wrestling, in that he’s supposed to take it over, but it might be a long time. I think Vince [McMahon] is 78, so it could be another 20 years. And he’s not going anywhere. I don’t think Vince will ever give up the throne.

Jericho and Triple H battled over the WWF Undisputed Championship at WrestleMania 18. They would later wrestle many other times on the RAW and pay-per-view. Triple H officially announced his retirement in March.
