Andrade El Idolo has been out of action for a while with a minor injury. Andrade noted that he was having some inflammation in his ankle. As he has been healing up, AEW has been building to a big angle for La Faccion Ingobbernable.

On Friday night’s episode of Rampage, Private Party took on The Lucha Bros in tag team action. During the match, Andrade was ringisde. He made it his business to get under the skin of Penta and Fenix.

AEW has been waiting to pull the trigger on a feud between Andrade El Idolo’s faction and The Lucha Bros. for a while. Eventually, it will lead to a tag match where Andrade and Rush take on Penta and Fenix. As soon as Andrade can go, that is expected to take place, according to Dave Meltzer on today’s Wrestling Observer Radio.

“They keep wanting to do that match with Andrade and Rush against Penta and Fenix and Andrade still isn’t ready. Any week now, this match will happen, and they will kick off their new feud. You know, you can see the feud’s happening. So, they’re going to be doing that.

Pac’s going to be defending his title, you know, in Europe. So that’s what those guys are going to be doing. They’ve been feuding forever … with House of Black. Looks like it’s going to be Brody King and Malakai against Sting and Darby going forward and so they’re now in different directions and, you know, whatever.”

Death Triangle will get a break from their feud with the House of Black as Pac defends the All-Atlantic Championship in Europe. That frees up Penta and Fenix for their feud with Andrade and his group. It’s been a while in the making, but the feud should finally be getting kickstarted soon.
