Austin Theory has worked hard to make himself one of the young and rising talent in all of WWE. He got his foot at the door thanks to Johnny Gargano’s stable, The Way, in NXT. Now that Theory is Mr. Money in the Bank, there is also doubt over him looking strong enough to step into the ring with Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns.
Theory then went on to win the Men’s Money In The Bank match and shocked everyone around the world. He even made history after winning the match.
Theory squared off against Madcap Moss on this week’s episode of Friday Night Smackdown. He was unable to win the match. After the match, he trash-talked The Usos, which led to Sami Zayn confronting him.
While speaking SmackTalk, Dutch Mantell stated that he doesn’t see any future to what WWE has planned for Theory. He also expressed his doubt over Theory over him looking strong enough to step into the ring with Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns.
“But, but nobody, he’s got a briefcase right? Nobody sees him as strong enough to even step in the same ring with Brock or Roman. And nobody can – unless something happens he’s gotta run in and try to steal it. But to me, there’s no future in that.”
RVD also believes it’s Austin Theory’s time to shine in WWE. He is also set to challenge Bobby Lashley for the United States Championship at SummerSlam. It remains to be seen whether he will win back his title or not.
