WWE didn’t stand for Walk With Elias on this week’s episode of Raw. It was reported that the early plan for the show was to feature the brother of Ezekiel on the show. Instead, Zeke teamed up with AJ Styles to take on The Miz and Ciampa.

There was material produced by WWE in anticipation of an appearance by Elias on Raw. For unknown reasons, the plan was nixed. Originally, The Drifter was to have been a part of the show.

Sean Sapp noted that the segment was changed in a report behind Fightful’s paywall. As with all spoilers, those that come hours before a show can be reconsidered in an instant. That was the case with Elias on Raw this week.

“It’s worth noting, these can change, and often do. This past Monday, an Elias appearance was prepared for the show itself, but didn’t end up happening.”

WWE might be waiting for Kevin Owens to return before Elias makes his next televised appearance. KO is expected to miss a little more time due to an injury. Then, the storyline with Ezekiel and Elias (and Elrod) can continue.

The hijinks between Owens and Ezekiel/Elias have been hilarious ever since Zeke debuted around WrestleMania. With Owens out, WWE has found different roles to keep the Zeke Freaks happy. Unfortunately, Elias wasn’t a part of it this week.
