WWE Hall Of Famer Bret Hart is without a doubt one of the best technical pro wrestlers the pro wrestling industry has ever seen. He is also a controversial wrestler whose views haven’t always been seen in the best of ways. He also wishes he reconciled with Shawn Michaels sooner.
Despite all his controversy, Bret Hart’s influence on the pro wrestling industry is continued to be felt throughout the pro wrestling world. During the mid-90s he was at the height of his popularity as well.
Fans are more than aware of the pure disdain Bret Hart and Shawn Michaels had for each other. It further increased after the Montreal Screwjob. However, they finally mended fences many years later.
While speaking on A&E’s new docuseries WWE Rivals, Bret Hart stated that he wished he mended fences with the Heartbreak Kid sooner.
“It’s a shame that things got off-track with Shawn and we never got to really finish telling the stories that we could have told. Me and Shawn could have wrestled one time every year for the next 10 years and they’d have been the biggest matches in history. It’s a shame that that opportunity was squandered last, probably by both of us.”
It is certainly a shame both of them never reconciled until it was too late for them to wrestle each other. Regardless, what’s done is done and nothing can be done about that.
