Paul Wight Believes Jade Cargill Is ‘The Same Thing’ As Goldberg

Since her debut in AEW, Jade Cargill has been booked as an unstoppable force in the company. The company has made it clear they want to make Jade Cargill a star and have booked her with that in mind. Paul Wight also believes Jade Cargill is the same as Goldberg.

Cargill became the first-ever AEW TBS Champion after beating Ruby Soho in the finals of the TBS Women’s Eliminator Tournament. Since then, she has made a mark, both inside and outside the squared circle.

While speaking to Riju Dasgupta, Paul Wight gave huge props to Goldberg for what he did in WCW. Wight also stated that he believes Jade Cargill is the same as Goldberg.

“I think so, anytime you can accumulate a very solid undefeated streak. I mean no one had ever seen anyone doing it like that until when Goldberg came along. I think Goldberg at the time was this incredible, explosive, futuristic, out of the box type of competitor. He was nothing like any other wrestler in wrestling when Goldberg came on the scene and he maximized all that potential. Jade Cargill is the same thing. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a female competitor of Jade’s stature.”

WWE also did not sign Jade Cargill as they would not give her control. Cargill is currently feuding with Athena on AEW television, so we’ll have to see how it will be booked in the coming weeks.
