Santana suffered what appeared to be a serious injury early on in the recent AEW Blood & Guts match. Around that same time, rumors began to surface that he was having some problems with his tag team partner, Ortiz. Now, one of their former partners in Impact Wrestling appears to have confirmed that gossip.

Last month, it was reported that Santana might be thinking about leaving AEW. He has been tweeting cryptic countdowns such as “126 days” and “Soon.” That has led to speculation by fans that his days in Tony Khan’s promotion are numbered.

On the Keepin’ It 100 podcast, former LAX stablemate Konnan addressed the rumors. He believes there is something to them. The former WCW star said things aren’t good between Santana and Ortiz.

“They are not on good terms.”

Since Santana may be out for a lengthy period due to his knee injury, he may have wrestled his last match in AEW. Tony Khan recently stated that he expects him to have a long rehabilitation process. While his actual contract status is unknown, there has been plenty of smoke to indicate that there might be a fire.

With no word from Tony Khan or Santana himself outside of the vague tweets, it will be interesting to see what happens next. If Santana is unhappy with his spot in AEW and isn’t getting along with Ortiz, it might be the end of the line in AEW. Konnan believes those rumors are true.
