Chris Jericho has truly established himself as one of the most legendary pro wrestlers in the industry, giving 30 years of his life to it. He has faced off against numerous legendary wrestlers during his time in the business. A recent segment featuring Jericho and Eddie Kingston was criticized for looking phony as well.

As seen on last week’s episode of AEW Dynamite, the Jericho Appreciation Society was featured in a parking lot segment. It saw Chris Jericho instructing Tay Conti to attack Ruby Soho and injure her arm. That led to Conti slamming the door of an SUV on Soho’s arm. This was preceded by Eddie Kingston cutting a promo in the ring.

While speaking during the latest episode of The Jim Cornette Experience, Jim Cornette talked about the aforementioned segment. Cornette criticized the segment for looking phony.

“But wow, let Eddie Kingston talk about the guy for 30 seconds, 40 seconds and then if he pops up on the screen, then it’s not just so obvious that the director was waiting to patch that video in until the first mention of Chris Jericho’s name, it just comes off phony. They couldn’t even play the music cue that was worked out ahead of time that quick in the first segment.”

The segment was also pre-taped in advance. Jericho is currently feuding with Eddie Kingston and the Blackpool Combat Club on AEW television. We’ll have to wait and see how AEW will book their feud in the coming weeks.
