Wardlow has been one of the best things about AEW in the last few months, and it was a slow and gradual path. Mr. Mayhem’s organic growth over the years has won him a lot of fan admiration as well. Wardlow also wants to team up with Jeff Hardy in the future.

As seen on last week’s episode of AEW Dynamite, Wardlow challenged Scorpio Sky for the TNT Championship in a street fight. Wardlow eventually won the match and became the new TNT Champion.

As usual, Wardlow shocked fans after performing a picture-perfect Swanton Bomb from the top rope. While speaking on the TWC Show, Wardlow revealed that he wants to team up with Jeff Hardy in the future.

“Everybody assumes [Jeff Hardy] is a dream opponent of mine, and yes, that would be cool. I would love to wrestle Jeff Hardy, but more so than wrestle, I want to team with Jeff Hardy. If I could do a six-man and just be Team Xtreme for one night, myself, Matt, and Jeff, I think that would be the ultimate dream more so than actually wrestling him.

We’ll have to see whether Wardlow will ever get his wish, as Jeff Hardy might not even be back for a long time. The former WWE Champion is dealing with his own personal issues after being arrested for DUI once again. Regardless, Wardlow will be busy as the TNT Champion till then anyway.
