Adam Cole is certainly one of the most skilled in-ring competitors in the pro wrestling world right now. He left NXT last year and made his way to AEW, which certainly delighted fans. Tony Khan also confirmed Cole will take time off due to a concussion.

The winner of the Owen Hart Foundation Tournament ended up getting injured at the Double or Nothing pay-per-view as well. Despite that, Adam Cole took part in a fatal four-way match for the IWGP World Heavyweight title at Forbidden Door.

Unfortunately, he suffered an injury there as well. While speaking with the “New York Post”, AEW Owner Tony Khan confirmed Adam Cole is on the shelf due to a concussion.

He had no contact between Double or Nothing and Forbidden Door. He was on commentary. He had been cleared to wrestle,” Khan said. “So now, I’m also gonna take some time [off] for him. We had already taken some time and I’ll take some more time to make sure he’s right and wouldn’t want him to wrestle until he’s feeling 100 percent. He was feeling 100 percent going into Forbidden Door. That’s how unpredictable these are.”

Adam Cole is also unlikely to make his return to AEW television anytime soon. We’ll have to wait and see when Cole will be back.
