“Stone Cold” Steve Austin wrestled his first match in a long while at this year’s WrestleMania 38. Austin doesn’t plan to step into the ring again after he defeated Kevin Owens, but he is still a part of the WWE family. At Sunday’s WWE live event in Reno, Nevada, the Texas Rattlesnake was in attendance and keeping a close eye on all the action.

Natalya posted a tweet saying that Austin being there was the coolest part of the event. Stone Cold responded, saying that the crowd was great and that the WWE roster put on an excellent show. It was a rare chance for the company’s superstars to get some feedback from one of the best to ever do it.

“Reno was a damn good crowd. In it from start to finish. Y’all gave em a helluva show and that’s the bottom line.”

Natalya wrestled Liv Morgan and Ronda Rousey in a triple threat match for the SmackDown women’s title. The main event featured a rematch between Drew McIntyre and Sheamus from Friday’s television show. Austin seemed to think things went very well.

It’s not every day that WWE performers get to share a backstage area with a true legend of pro wrestling. Steve Austin attending the show had to have been a nice morale boost. Natalya was extremely excited about it.

Stone Cold may not be planning any more matches, but he has a wealth of knowledge after traveling the world as one of wrestling’s biggest stars of all time. Having him backstage at a live event can only be seen as a good thing. Austin had a great time being there.
