Johnny Gargano was considered the heart and soul of NXT by many fans due to his memorable feuds with the likes of Tommaso Ciampa, Adam Cole and others. He has had various nicknames such as Johnny Wrestling, Johnny TakeOver and more, and they are all for a good reason. He also has unfinished business in WWE.

Gargano left NXT earlier this year and since then has been enjoying his time away from pro wrestling. In fact, Johnny Gargano became a significant part of NXT history in general.

While speaking on the Good Karma Wrestling podcast, Johnny Gargano admitted he still has quite a few goals he wants to accomplish in WWE, making it clear he has unfinished business in WWE.

“I never got a chance to wrestle at WrestleMania. That was always something on my bucket list, and it still is on my bucket list … It’s a usual answer for a lot of guys my size and from my era but the Intercontinental Title, especially like the white strap Intercontinental Title that I used to love, that is always something that has been in the back of my mind, as well, that I would love to have one day.”

Johnny Gargano also left WWE because he didn’t want anyone to be in control of his time. It remains to be seen whether he will head back to WWE somewhere down the line or not.
