Brock Lesnar recently returned to WWE to send a message to Roman Reigns. After his attack on the Tribal Chief, Lesnar will face Reigns in a last man standing match at SummerSlam for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship. The winner will move on to Clash at the Castle in Cardiff, Wales.

WWE announced on their website that on tonight’s episode of SmackDown, there will be a match to determine who faces the winner in the UK. Drew McIntyre will take on Sheamus to determine who challenges Roman Reigns or Brock Lesnar on September 3.

“Drew McIntyre will once again battle Sheamus in a high-stakes matchup for the right to challenge either Roman Reigns or Brock Lesnar for the Undisputed WWE Universal Title at the WWE Clash at the Castle Premium Live Event.

The WWE Universe better be ready for shockwaves when these two superheavyweights collide for the opportunity of a lifetime, tonight at 8/7 C on FOX. “

A championship match between Roman Reigns and Drew McIntyre has long been rumored. Whether that happens will depend on the results of tonight’s SmackDown as well as Reigns’ match with Lesnar at SummerSlam. Amid Vince McMahon’s latest controversy, WWE is making the stakes high for tonight’s show.
