The team of Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins have worked hard to establish themselves as one of the most beloved tag teams in all of WWE. The Street Profits became a draw due to their solid skills inside the ring. Montez Ford has lofty goals of his own as well.
For a while now, there has been speculation that The Street Profits might just break up. Ford certainly has what it takes to make it as a singles star as well.
While speaking to Nick Hausman of Wrestling Inc, Montez Ford made it clear he wants to become WWE Champion if The Street Profits break up.
If the draft happens and they, you know, we’re forced to go our separate ways, we’re definitely going to keep that support there. Keep bringing it 100 percent. I know as a kid, speaking for myself, I’ve always had dreams of being a WWE World Champion.
That dream just never fades away man. You know, when you’re here, I feel like if you’re not trying to be the guy or the team, then what are you here for? You know besides the money. But still at the same time, like you want to create a legacy.”
WWE could also be planning a singles run for Montez Ford. It remains to be seen whether WWE will pull the trigger on Ford’s single run or not.
