Big E suffered a massive injury, and that too on an untimely occasion. The star incurred a massive neck injury on the Friday Night SmackDown that was right before WrestleMania. The March 11th episode showed Big E landing awkwardly from a belly-to-belly suplex from Ridge Holland and his neck was broken, but now there is much better news.
The former WWE Champion is taking his time to recover. He sustained fractures to his C1 vertebrae and C6 vertebra. The injury was not of the kind that could get fixed up with a surgery. Big E really needed to give himself time to recover them with proper rest and care.
Big E recently took to Twitter in order to let fans know how he’s faring through his recovery. The star said that his C1 isn’t ossifying yet, which means it’s not fixed into its position yet. However, he plans to get more scans.
Update! My C1 isn’t ossifying (forming bone) quite yet. The current plan is to get more scans at the one year mark & see how it’s progressing. The great news is I feel tremendous & surgery is off the table.
The WWE star has been taking good care of himself throughout the last few months. He recently gave a positive update to fans where he took his neck brace and threw it in the trash. We hope the star has a speedy recovery and can get back in action soon.
