WWE Money In The Bank was one of their biggest events on the company’s schedule. While the event attracted less than usual attention, it was a satisfying one altogether. The Women’s Money In The Bank ladder match was an interesting one, because there were multiple botches throughout the contest, even on commentary.
Liv Morgan emerged victorious with the Money In The Bank suitcase. Morgan faced a hefty deal of competition, as there were a total of seven participants. Alexa Bliss, Becky Lynch, Liv Morgan, Asuka, Shotzi, Lacey Evans, and Raquel Rodriguez kicked off the event with their match that some say stole the show.
Sasha Banks was not advertised for the match, and actually hasn’t even been mentioned in the WWE at all. Banks walked out from Monday Night RAW alongside her tag team partner Naomi a few months ago. WWE didn’t make a single mention of her name, until recently.
Corey Graves was fulfilling his commentary duties while the WWE divas worked the Ladder match. Graves suddenly said “Sasha” in the middle of the match, and then corrected himself to say “Shotzi.” This was an obvious flub, and the Savior of Misbehavior had to correct himself.
Graves’ slip-of-tongue was hardly noticeable in real time. However, Twitter got the hold of it, and several fans made a reference to the misplaced mention. While there’s no real news on what Sasha Banks might be planning, but her walk out alongside Naomi made things pretty clear.
As for Sasha Banks, word is that she was granted her release from WWE, but no official word has emerged yet. As Ringside News exclusively reported on June 1st, her contract was in the hands of attorneys.
