Cesaro became one of the most underrated stars in all of WWE. Fans simply wanted to see Cesaro ascend to the very top during his time in WWE, but that never happened. He also shocked WWE talent by joining AEW.

The Swiss Superman finally left WWE earlier this year after his contract expired and did not renew his contract with the company. Quite a few people were shocked by this as well.

Cesaro made his highly-anticipated AEW debut at the Forbidden Door pay-per-view event. According to Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, “a lot of talent in WWE was shocked that Castagnoli signed with AEW, based on the size of the offer WWE gave him.” It was added that his signing was a big deal with a lot of the talent as many talent believed AEW either equalled or topped WWE’s offer.

In WWE, the feeling was that AEW was no longer doing that, and Castagnoli could have made a very substantial amount of money in WWE

Cesaro was also part of the winning team in the Blood & Guts match on this week’s episode of AEW Dynamite. We’ll have to wait and see how he will be booked in the coming weeks.
