Cesaro was certainly one of the most gifted WWE Superstars in the company and for many fans, he was severely underrated. Cesaro never reached the main event level scene in WWE and fans were unhappy about that fact. There is also the belief that he will be booked into oblivion in AEW.
The Swiss Superman eventually left WWE and made his long-anticipated AEW debut at the Forbidden Door pay-per-view event. Going by the name Claudio Castagnoli, he faced Zack Sabre Jr. in a technical masterclass of a match and won it as well.
While speaking on his podcast, Jim Cornette’s Drive Thru, Jim Cornette stated that he believes Claudio will be booked into oblivion in AEW. He added that he wants to see Claudio on AEW television more as well.
“On this roster and in this field Claudio Castagnoli can especially stand out because he has got the size and got the strength, and got the experience to make his matches make sense. Even if he doesn’t draw ’em any money because he will be booked into oblivion like everbody else is after their hot debut, selfishly, I really want to see more of him on the TV.”
Cesaro was also part of the winning team in the Blood & Guts match on this week’s episode of AEW Dynamite. It remains to be seen how he will be booked in the coming weeks.
