Last night’s AEW Dynamite saw the latest in an ongoing string of injuries that have been plaguing the company. Several top stars are already missing in action after getting hurt. The latest will have a big effect on AEW’s tag team division.

The brutal Blood & Guts main event saw plenty of dangerous brawling. Unfortunately, the only serious injury appears to have come shortly after one entrant stepped into the cage. Santana did not last long, as he hurt his leg almost immediately after joining the match.

Santana was injured shortly after entering the Blood & Guts match. He had to undergo an MRI to check on the extent of the damage. Bryan Alvarez and Dave Meltzer discussed the injury on the latest Wrestling Observer Radio.

“You could see when he did the uranage, he just like, pretty much his leg gave out and he just collapsed… He crawled around and tried to do stuff, but he really couldn’t do much of anything at that point. “

Alvarez noted that the doctor said things do not look good. We will have to wait to see what the MRI says before knowing how serious Santana’s injury is. His prognosis doesn’t sound promising at this point.

Hopefully, things are not as bad as they sound for Santana. Until the MRI result is released, everything is just speculation. Everybody at Ringside News is hoping Santana has a speedy and full recovery.
