Jeff Hardy has been a figure of much controversy in recent history. The veteran was released from WWE, and after some wait, he transitioned to AEW. Jeff fought alongside his brother Matt Hardy once again. All was well, until the Daredevil was arrested for DUI.
Tony Khan talked about reaching out to Hardy and giving him the help he needs if he agrees. He also said that Jeff Hardy is hanging on a straw with AEW, as this is his last chance.
Hardy recently filed his plea on the DUI case in Florida. As per a report from PW Insider, the former WWE superstar entered a plea of not guilty. The plea was filed on June 28th.
The AEW star is going to get arraigned in court on July 5, at 2:30 pm. He was arrested on June 13th, and this was his third DUI offense in the last ten years. Apparently, Hardy was also charged with being behind the wheels while possessing a canceled/suspended/revoked license.
The primary charge is a felony under Florida law, punishable up to five years’ imprisonment, should Hardy be convicted. The others would fall under misdemeanors. Hardy has been out on $3,500 bond since bailing out.
Jeff Hardy has a lot to sort out, as he got into a rehabilitation facility on June 21. He got a new chance with AEW to reinvent himself. However, the terms of his future in the AEW depend upon him completing his term in rehab. However, his not guilty plea might mean that the star could come clear without any severe punishments.
