Cesaro became one of the most underrated stars in all of WWE. Fans just wanted to see Cesaro win a world title during his time in WWE, but that did not really happen at all. He was also criticized for not having any entertainment factor in WWE.
The Swiss Superman parted ways with WWE earlier this year after his contract expired and didn’t sign another contract with the company. Quite a few people were shocked by this as well.
Cesaro made his highly-anticipated AEW debut at the Forbidden Door pay-per-view event. While speaking on the Busted Open podcast, Bully Ray talked about Cesaro’s time in WWE. He criticized Cesaro for not having the entertainment factor in the company.
”The reason why Cesaro never got to that next level in the WWE is he was too much of a pro wrestler, not enough of a sports entertainer. He didn’t have that entertainment factor that Vince was looking for. Now, once they put him with Sheamus. Sheamus had enough sports entertainer in him that Cesaro could play off of them, and they gelled very well together.”
Now known as Claudio Castagnoli, he helped the Blackpool Combat Club win against The Jericho Appreciation Society during the Blood & Guts match on this week’s episode of AEW Dynamite. We will have to wait and see how Claudio Castagnoli will fare in AEW.
