The 2300 Arena in Philadelphia hosted Impact Wrestling’s second night of television tapings last night. Long-time fans are more familiar with the structure as the original ECW Arena. IMPACT wrestling is now headed back to the City of Brotherly Love.

Sean Sapp reported IMPACT’s summer schedule behind Fightful’s paywall. The summer calendar of IMPACT is picking up with a trip back to Philadelphia. The business will return over the weekend of September 22–25 to film a television segment and possibly a local TV special.

In addition to Atlanta, Louisville, Chicago, and Dallas, IMPACT is ramping up their summer schedule with a return to Philadelphia. Fightful sources have indicated that the company will be back for the weekend of September 22-25 for a television taping and possible TV special in the area. IMPACT was in Philadelphia back in March at the former ECW Arena, 2300 Arena. Sources within the company noted the working plan was to head back there. IMPACT had just started to run Philadelphia again in May 2019, and we’re told there were tentative plans to return before the pandemic derailed everything. TNA Lockdown 2009 and TNA Bound For Glory 2011 were both at the venue.

Impact Wrestling recently saw a successful Slammiversary pay-per-view event. The show opened with an emotional video package going through the 20-year history of TNA/Impact Wrestling. Josh Alexander defended his Impact World Champion title in the main event.

Back in March, IMPACT performed in the 2300 Arena, formerly the ECW Arena, in Philadelphia. In May 2019, IMPACT relaunched Philadelphia. Both TNA Bound For Glory 2011 and TNA Lockdown 2009 took place there.
