WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle has not returned to pro wrestling since his release, but that didn’t stop WWE from offering him a role. Angle also addressed rumors of him beating up Brock Lesnar.

Kurt Angle had a tremendous career in WWE, spanning multiple World Title runs and incredible matches as he faced off against the best of the best the pro wrestling world has to offer.

This included his numerous instant classic matches against Brock Lesnar. While speaking on the “Two Man Power Trip of Wrestling” podcast, Kurt Angle talked about grappling in the ring before a match in 2003. He shot down rumors that he beat up Brock Lesnar.

“I walked up behind Brock and tapped him on the shoulder,” Angle recalled. “I said, ‘It’s time to go.’ We went and, you know what, the rumor is that I kicked his a**. Not true. It was a really close match. I took him down a couple of times. He didn’t take me down at all, but it was a pretty tight match. Who won? Kurt Angle!
