Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler comprise one of the best tag teams in the world right now. For many fans, FTR is a team that can certainly do it all inside the squared circle. Harwood also owes a lot to CM Punk as well.

CM Punk and FTR previously feuded against each other earlier this year. They would then form their own stable, even giving it an interesting name.

While speaking with Joseph Staszewski of the New York Post, Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler talked about their relationship with CM Punk. Harwood made it clear he’ll forever be indebted to CM Punk for all the help he did backstage in AEW.

“When he got here, we never had any prior experience with him, so it was a clean slate and for us he’s been nothing but great. He’s been a mentor to us. Whatever we need, he’s been there for it. I think part of our rise right now is linked to his arrival here. He’d been a guy who beat the drum for us any chance he got, and I think that holds a lot of weight,” Wheeler said.

In a time where it’s hard to find people who are absolutely enamored with wrestling, the three of us are, and then it morphed into the love of Bret Hart. Then it morphed into the love of each other. Behind the scenes, I’ll be forever indebted to him for how he helped with cope with (my) anxieties, too,” Harwood said.

CM Punk is currently out of action due to injury. On the other hand, FTR will square off against United Empire and Roppongi Vice at Forbidden Door for the ROH and IWGP Tag Team Titles. We’ll have to see who will come out on top in the match.
