Stokely Hathaway Says AEW Feels Like Home

Stokely Hathaway was released from his WWE contract this past April. He has since debuted in AEW and became the publicist for current AEW TBS Champion Jade Cargill. Hathaway is considered by many to be a top-level manager and talker in the world of pro wrestling. While Hathaway made a splash on WWE television, he’s already feeling at home in AEW.

Speaking on Busted Open, the former NXT talent talked about seeing people he hadn’t seen in a while.

Just being able to see people that I haven’t seen in years, To be able to walk into a locker room and see your friends, people that you grew up with, what can I say?

Hathaway tried searching for a word to describe how he felt. He first wanted to say “lucky” but eventually landed on “blessed.” The publicist for Jade Cargill has a history with the likes of Orange Cassidy and Chuck Taylor. Hathaway even feuded with Cassidy over the Cassidy’s IWTV Championship at one point.

Hathaway signed with WWE three years ago and worked for the company as Malcolm Bivens. During his tenure, he managed Indus Sher and most notably the stable known as Diamond Mine. Now that Hathaway has found a new home, who knows what other talents are eager to work with him.
