Ring of Honor Wrestling is under All Elite Wrestling President Tony Khan’s ownership after he bought the promotion back in March. Since then, ROH has only held one event: Supercard of Honor in April. This event saw multiple title changes take place. Samoa Joe also made his return to ROH on the night.
As for updates regarding any upcoming shows from the promotion, PW Insider has reported that there should be an announcement coming soon from ROH management regarding their next big show.
“The word making the rounds that an announcement on what will be the next Ring of Honor event should be coming in the next few days.”
Several talents from AEW have made appearances on Ring of Honor and vice versa. In April, Jonathan Gresham, the current ROH World Heavyweight Champion, defended his title against Dalton Castle at AEW Battle of the Belts II. He also suffered a concussion during that event.
Similarly, Tully Blanchard appeared on AEW Rampage on Friday teasing a storyline between Tully Blanchard Enterprises and Gresham for the ROH World title.
Samoa Joe, FTR and Wheeler Yuta also appear on AEW programming regularly while currently holding ROH championships.
Tony Khan said previously that the reason he did not buy ROH under the AEW umbrella is that he thinks that the promotion deserves to be its own entity.
