Jake ‘The Snake’ Roberts has been aligned with Lance Archer in AEW for quite some time. The WWE Hall of Famer was notable in his absence on this week’s episode of Dynamite. Archer teamed with Chris Jericho to take on Jon Moxley and Hiroshi Tanashi as part of the build to Forbidden Door.
There have been a lot of rumors about Jake Roberts’ health lately. Jake says that there is no truth to any of them. Jim Ross had reported before being corrected by Roberts that he was suffering from major issues.
Dave Meltzer reported that Roberts recently underwent surgery. That is the reason he was not with Lance Archer for his main event tag match. Roberts reportedly had a procedure on his bladder, according to this week’s Wrestling Observer Newsletter.
“Jake Roberts is out of action with bladder surgery which is why he wasn’t with Lance Archer in the Milwaukee main event.”
No further information on the nature of Jake Roberts’ surgery was given. Hopefully, it is nothing major. Jake Roberts has been a valuable member of the AEW team, offering his decades of experience to the roster.
It is not known when fans can expect Jake Roberts to return to AEW television. Right now, he is recuperating from his surgery. The whole team at Ringside News sends him our best wishes for a full and quick recovery!
