Pro Wrestling World Reacts To Supreme Court’s Stunning Reproductive Rights Decision

The United States Supreme Court officially struck down Roe v. Wade today. The stars of professional wrestling quickly took to social media to voice their opinions on the matter. Many were heartbroken at the decision, which removes federal protections for a woman’s right to have an abortion.

Stars and media personalities from all over the place shared their stunned reactions online after this morning’s decision. Many were speechless about the news. Others expressed their disappointment. An overwhelming majority disagreed with the determination by the nation’s highest court.

Even normally comedic characters such as Danhausen let their feelings be known. The Very Nice, Very Evil AEW star posted photos of CM Punk wearing pro-choice t-shirts during two recent appearances. Renee Paquette of ‘The Sessions’ simply posted a broken heart emoji.

Paquette’s sentiment was echoed by the former Ember Moon, now known as Athena in AEW. AEW referee Aubrey Edwards also couldn’t find the words, choosing to post the same thing as Paquette. Nixon Newell called the decision “utterly disgusting.” Paige pointed out Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas’ apparent hypocrisy, as well.

Decisions on abortion will now be left to the states. A large portion of them have already put in place full or partial bans on the practice. Pro-choice activists believe these laws violate the separation of church and state as well as every woman’s bodily autonomy.
