WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle is certainly one of the best pro wrestlers to have ever competed inside the squared circle. He has accomplished a lot in WWE, being a multi-time World Champion. Angle also gave some sad news about his pro wrestling future.
Kurt Angle’s body still suffered a lot due to his in-ring career and even now, he feels the effects. Kurt Angle would then undergo double knee replacement surgery.
Angle then stated that he was not doing much better after the surgery. While speaking on the Two-Man Power Trip of Wrestling podcast, Kurt Angle revealed that he will never be wrestling again after the double knee replacement surgery.
Well, you know, usually you have one at a time because it’s — you’re gonna be destabilized. So with me, the thing is, I wanted to get them out of the way. I just wanted to get them done and move forward with my life and not have to worry about the other down the road. I can walk around. I’m still in a lot of pain, though.
My knees were shot. I had to have them done. I didn’t have a choice. Now with the knee replacements, no. I’m not going to mess these knees up.
I have no idea, I don’t. I’m not going to try. No.”
Angle was released from his role as WWE producer back in 2020 as part of the COVID-19 budget cuts. He also wants WWE to push Chad Gable more. We’ll have to see if he ever goes back to WWE.
