Ember Moon was one of the highlights of WWE NXT’s women’s division. However, this was largely due to her two runs on NXT as her main roster run was largely uninspired. She also said that WWE was adamant on attaining perfection.
Ember Moon was released by WWE last year and that was something no one expected. Since then, she went back to her old name as Athena and competed in the indie circuit. She is now part of the AEW family and started feuding with Jade Cargill.
While speaking with NBC “Sports Boston.” Athena talked about her time in WWE. Athena stated that WWE would rip everyone a new one if they did not attain perfection.
“I think the best way to describe it is I think the former place, if you will, demanded perfection. It didn’t matter what curveballs were being thrown at you, there was just very stoic energy of, ‘Alright, this is what we expect out of you. Do it.’ And if you don’t do it, you get ripped a new one. Sometimes it’s like, ‘Okay, cool, we understand problems happen.’ But there was never that high energy. Hunter was the exception to that, I will say that.”
Triple H might have understood when imperfection happens, because he spent decades in the ring as a talent. Athena also felt her passion was sucked out during her time in WWE. She also said hat Tony Khan is so high energy, unlike Vince McMahon. Only time will tell if she’ll find success in AEW or not, since her journey just started.
