John Cena is set to make his long-awaited return to WWE on next week’s edition of Monday Night Raw. Cena is likely to start a feud with Theory, as the two have been trading barbs back and forth for months. Many fans have wondered if Cena’s return has impacted ticket sales.
According to WrestleTix, the Raw in Laredo, Texas will have a capacity of about 7,000 fans. Since John Cena was announced for the show, 3,217 tickets were sold. Cena’s comeback looks to be a very strong draw.
As of June 21, there were 687 tickets available for the June 27 Raw. WWE has been opening up new sections to increase availability. Thus far, the only sections not for sale would be behind the stage with obstructed views.
“Since the Cena announcement, they’ve sold 3,217 tickets. New seats added below.”
Vince McMahon appeared on this week’s Raw to hype Cena’s appearance. WWE has been pulling in huge TV ratings since the hush-money scandal involving McMahon broke. They will look to continue that momentum by welcoming back one of the promotion’s biggest draws of all time.
John Cena has proven time and time again that he brings fans to arenas and puts eyes on television sets. His return should be one of the biggest moments for WWE this Summer. Laredo is ready to show out for his big comeback next week.
