Jim Ross underwent some painful radiation treatments as he battled skin cancer last year. The voice of AEW shared photos of painful burns, but ultimately, it paid off in the end. In December, JR announced that he is cancer-free. He is still dealing with the aftermath, however.

Ross shared an update on how his radiation burns are healing. While the photo does look a little grotesque, JR promised that it was an improvement. His doctor said it may take up to a year to be fully back to normal.

“Believe it or not my radiation burns are improving even though it doesn’t look like it. My doctor says healing may take a year. Ugh”

The skin cancer caused Jim Ross a year’s worth of scary moments as he underwent radiation. The treatment left his skin in terrible shape as it burned the tissue containing and surrounding the cancer. Fortunately, the radiation therapy was successful.
