AEW Dynamite Results for June 22, 2022

It’s Wednesday and you know what that means. AEW Dynamite will go down tonight and Ringside News has got you covered with live play-by-play results coverage.

JR welcomes us to the show, commentary does a quick recap of last week and we kick off with Bryan Danielson making his entrance. Tony Schiavone is in the ring to interview Danielson. Danielson takes the mic from Tony and says this week is a great week to be an AEW fan, a pro wrestling fan. Forbidden Door on Sunday, you will see some excellent pro wrestling. A week today on Dynamite will be Blood & guts.

“Blood & Guts” chants. Danielson says he loves that the fans are excited about that. He was expecting to be a part of those events. Zack Sabre Jr challenged him to a match. He wanted to crush his throat. He was exited to be in Blood & Guts. Unfortunately he has good news and bad news. Bad news is because of Chris Jericho at Anarchy in the Arena, he is not cleared to compete at Forbidden Door or Blood & Guts. But his mind is worked at 100% capacity, don’t worry about him coming back. there is not a man in this world who can wrestle like him.

The good news is Eddie Kingston has said I am a judgemental prick. He is right. He has high standards, when I promise something will be amazing, it will be. He has found the one person he trust to take his place at Forbidden Door and Blood & Guts, the one person in the entire world who will take it to Zack and take Jericho’s head at Blood & Guts and you will all be astounded at what he will do in AEW. “Who?” He isn’t going to tell ya. He isn’t going to tell Zack Sabre Jr either. Tune in on Sunday to find out who.

Zack Sabre Jr makes his entrance! He shouts off mic at Danielson from the stage and we cut to commentary.

Backstage Jon Moxley says Blood & Guts is personal. The JAS blinded his friend, we found out they can fight, now we find out if they can survive. His team have survived. He has been around the block a time or two. We find out how much they are willing to suffer next week. On Sunday is the biggest match of his entire life, it means more to him than you can imagine. He transforms into what he knew is could be when he steps in the ring with Ace. Tonight is business, Sunday is personal. When that bell rings, he has no respect for anybody.

Orange Cassidy makes his entrance, along with Roppongi Vice. Out next is Will Ospreay and Aussie Open.

Will Ospreay & Aussie Open vs. Orange Cassidy & Roppongi Vice

Romero and Fletcher start, lock up back elbow from Romero, shoulder tackle. Romero with combo kicks, tag to Trent. Fletcher with a lariat, tag to Davis, Trent with kicks, chops, forearms, Davis with a big boot. Trent tags Orange.

Orange strolls into the ring to a huge pop. Orange dodges a strikes, puts his hands in the air… then into his pockets. Orange with a dropkick and a kip out with his hands in his pockets. Tag to Romero, Romero with clotheslines, back body drop to Ospreay. Orange and Romero with suicide dives to the outside, Davis catches Trent and Ospreay and Aussie Open beat them down on the outside.

Trent with an exploder to Fletcher. Tag to Orange, Orange with the weak kicks, then hits a double hurricanrana, another hurricanrana, into a huge Tornado DDT to Fletcher. Orange invites Ospreay into the ring, Romero with a hurricanrana, Trent clothesline him out of the ring, a 3 way suicide dives takes out Ospreay and Aussie Open.

Romero with a missile dropkick, Orange with a Splash, cover, 2 count. Ospreay blocks a DDT, Orange blocks a suplex, Ospreay with an enziguri, Orange hits a Stundog Millionaire. Romero tags in, hurricanrana to Davis, Davis with a big chop, tag to Fletcher, combo strikes from Aussie Open, a huge Alabama Slam on Romero, cover, 2 count.

Romero hits Sliced Bread, Orange with a splash, Ospreay with a diving clothesline, Trent and Romero with a double knee strike to Fletcher. Ospreay with a roundhouse kick, Davis hits a Piledriver, cover, 2 count as Orange breaks the count. Ospreay goes for a dive but Orange moves out of the way, Ospreay lands on his feet. Trent with a Tornado DDT to Davis, tag to Orange. Orange hits the Orange Punch, cover, 1, 2, 3!

WINNER: Orange Cassidy & Roppongi Vice!

Jeff Cobb and Great-O-Khan makes their way to the ring and surround Orange and Roppongi Vice. FTR’s music hits to bring them out and even the odds. United Empire back off.

Jay Lethal, Sonjay Dutt and Satnam Singh are backstage. Dutt says Singh’s debut went great and they are celebrating by going to India. Lethal says he will be the ROH TV champion, Samoa Joe has two options, tape up the shoulder an compete or surrender the title to him.

Tony Schiavone is in the ring, he introduces Christian Cage. Huge boos, Christian says he will stand here all night if they don’t shut up. Shut your damn mouth. He says you didn’t think he would gonna let Jungle Boy get away with eliminating him form the Casino Battle Royale last week did you? He is a legend and he deserves more respect.

It got him thinking, if these people like Jungle Boy so much he should… “Shut The Fuck Up” chants. He decided to find out more about Jungle Boy on social media. Wrestling social media know nothing about this business, he is one of the best to ever step foot in this ring. He threatens Tony, Jungle Boy cost him money so he had to recoup it.

He hitched his wagon to Jungle Boy and run it till the wheels fall off. You think I came back to elevate talent? He came back to make a ton of money. to everybody in the back, you want to make a pay check, have a match that people talk about longer than a week. the type of match that changes wrestling, until then eat my crumbs and enjoy it. Jungle Boy doesn’t have killer instinct. The one time he doesn’t help Jungle Boy, he loses. Now he has to get his hands dirty and that pisses him off.

Recap of Christian shouting at Jungle Boy’s family from last week. Christian says he know why they are really mad, she was sweet on Christian Cage, she wanted him to be Jungle Boy’s father. He never wanted to be Jungle Boy’s father, because Jungle Boy’s father is dead. Jungle Boy’s father would be ashamed.

Luchasaurus comes out and chokes Christian in the corner. Christian says they need to talk, “Remember what happened to Marko?” Christian says you’re like a son to me. Christian whispers in Luchasaurus’s ear, then hugs him… Luchasaurus leaves the ring with Christian…

The Young Bucks and Kyle O’Reilly are backstage. The Bucks say they are the first ever 2 time Tag Champs. They will be at Forbidden Door. O’Reilly says he and the Young Bucks will face Sting and his cronies. The Bucks will be back in Bullet Club for one night only.

Malakai Black makes his entrance. Penta Oscuro is out next.

All-Atlantic Championship Qualifying Match: Penta Oscuro vs. Malakai Black

Black goes form Black Mass but Penta ducks, Black with a back elbow, Penta drops him on the apron, then hits a Tope Suicida. Black with a kidney shot, Penta hits a Backstabber, cover, 2 count. Penta is favouring his back. Black with a roll up, 2 count. Penta with a Slingblade sends Black out of the ring. Black sweeps the leg on the apron then throws Penta into the barricade.

Penta with a clothesline, crossbody, chop on the apron, Black blocks a Piledriver. Penta with an enziguri, Black escapes another Piledriver, then Penta hits a cutter, cover, 2 count. Penta with chops in the corner, Black sweeps the leg, misses a foot stomp, Black with a high knees then a moonsault to the outside. Back in the ring, Black hits the Double Foot Stomp, cover, 2 count.

Black with a roundhouse kick, Penta with an enziguri, then Penta hits a Fear Factor from the middle rope! Penta can’t take advantage, slowly gets to the cover, 2 count as Black gets a foot on the rope. Penta’s back gives out, Black hits the Black Mass, cover, 1, 2, 3!

WINNER: Malakai Black!

Pac comes out to face down Black. Miro appears on the big screen and says all he wanted was god, gold and his gorgeous wife. He will walk through the Forbidden Door and redeem them all.

Adam Cole makes his entrance to join commentary. Silas Young makes his entrance, making his AEW debut. Hangman Page is out next.

Hangman Page vs. Silas Young

Lock up, Page wrings the arm, Young escapes, Page with a snapmare, both men evenly matched. Young with a boot, headlock, Page with a headlock takeover, Young with a rollup, Page escapes and hits a boot to the face. Page with chops in the corner, Young reverses and hits chops of his own. Page powers out with an overhand chops.

Young rakes the eyes, Page throws him out of the ring, then hits a lariat. Page goes to the top and hits the moonsault to the outside.

Page hits a Superplex, strikes back and forth, Page with a Fall Away Slam. Page with a lariat in the corner, then another lariat sending Young out of the ring. Springboard clothesline to the outside. Page with a diving clothesline, cover, 2 count. Young with a backbreaker/clothesline, cover, 2 count. Rolling senton, mises a springboard senton, Page with a German, then hits the Buckshot, cover, 1, 2, 3!

WINNER: Hangman Page!

Cole comes off commentary and asks who ready for story time with Adam Cole bay bay. Jay White interrupts, he says sorry for interrupting. He has been giving this a lot of thought, he is responsible of Forbidden Door being so big. His opponent at Forbidden Door cant be Adam Cole. Cole lost to Page, twice. White says everybody is dying to know who he will face. Who will he face? It wont be Page. Page slaps the mic out of his hand and hits right hands, Cole runs down, Page fights him off, Cole hits a low blow. Jay White tees off on Page. Cole gets the title goes to attack, but White sees it coming.

Okada makes his entrance! Okada stares down, Cole and White. He fights them both off, Page and Okada tee off on White and Cole. White ducks under a Rainmaker and escapes the ring.

Tony Schiavone is with Jade Carghill. Jade says Red Velvet is injured but the show will go on. Hathaway says they are looking for a new baddie, they will find one of social media. They need to be a top notch bitch, but keep the photos PG.

Commercial Break.

Tony Schiavone is with Athena and Kris Statlander, they mock Jade Carghill’s baddies. They with thwart any baddie who steps in their way.

Marina Shafir makes to entrance to no reaction, Nyla Rose accompanied her to the ring. Toni Storm is out next.

Shafir with a kick, Storm kicks back, Shafir takes the leg, Storm with a takedown, Shafir reverse into an armbar, Storm gets to the ropes. Shafir with a takedown, Storm escapes, headlock, into a dropkick. Shafir sweeps the leg, big kick take down Storm. Storm kicked out of the ring, Nyla Rose with a senton on the outside.

Storm with forearms, Shafir strikes back, Storm with a big headbutt, Shafir with a thrust kick sends Storm out of the ring. Shafir throws Storm into the apron, big takedown throw on the outside. Storm hits a Tornado DDT, back in the ring, Storm blocks a Judo Throw and hits a German. Storm with a Hip Attack, Rose holds Shafir down. Storm with a rollup, 1, 2, 3!

WINNER: Toni Storm!

Nyla Rose attacks Storm after the match. Thunder Rosa runs down to makes the save. Rosa with a dropkick to Shafir, then fights off Rosa. Storm hits Rose with the belt. Storm holds the belt and Rosa stares her down. Storm gives the title to Storm and the two women face off.

Sting and Darby are backstage and say they wont be alone at Forbidden Door. they will keep kicking body down the hill, at Forbidden Door, it will be Showtime.

The JAS makes their entrance, Jericho is accompanied to the ring by Sammy Guevara and Tay Conti.

Lance Archer makes his entrance. William Regal has joined commentary. Hiroshi Tanahashi is out next, followed by Jon Moxley who enters through the crowd.

Chris Jericho & Lance Archer vs. Jon Moxley & Hiroshi Tanahashi

All 4 men brawl in the ring, Jericho and Moxley spill to the outside, Tanahashi with strikes to Archer in the ring, Moxley throws Jericho into the barricade. Archer with a Full Nelson Slam, tag to Jericho. Jericho with forearms to Tanahashi, Tanahashi fights out with forearms, Jericho with a bulldog in the corner, Tanahashi with a running forearm.

Moxley tags, kicks to Jericho, into a headlock, into the hammer and anvil elbows. Jericho escapes, Moxley chases him to the outside. Guevara hold onto Moxley’s leg and Jericho takes advantage. Jericho with a slingshot to the bottom rope. Archer tags in, strikes back and forth, Archer with a huge shoulder tackle.

Jericho with strikes, Moxley takes him down and tags in Tanahashi, Tanahashi with forearms, running elbow, takes down Archer, back elbow, crossbody off the middle rope. Tanahashi with a bodyslam then hits s Senton, cover, 2 count. Jericho with a rollup into the Walls, Tanahashi with an inside cradle, 2 count. Jericho hits the Codebreaker, cover, 2 count as Moxley breaks the count.

Moxley with a Tope Suicida to Archer. Jericho and Tanahashi with strikes back and forth, Tanahashi ducks the Judas Affect, he goes to the top and hits the High Fly Flow but Jericho rolls through and locks in the Walls of Jericho. Archer wipes out Moxley on the outside. Moxley back in and hits a Cutter, Archer with a big boot, Tanahashi with a Slingblade.

All 4 men down, Moxley tags in, Archer tags in, Moxley with lariats to little effect, then hits the Paradigm Shift, tag to Tanahashi who hits the High Fly Flow! Tanahashi covers, 1, 2, 3!

WINNER: Jon Moxley & Hiroshi Tanahashi!

Moxley and Tanahashi stare each other down, Eddie Kingston attacks Jericho. Guevara helps out Jericho. Wheeler Yuta runs down to help Kingston. Kingston throws a chair in Guevara’s face. Minoru Suzuki strolls down the ramp and attacks Yuta. Referees runs down to breaks it all up. Other members of the JAS runs down. Santana and Ortiz run down. Dynamite ends as Moxley and Tanahashi are still staring each other down as there’s a huge brawl at ringside.
