Hiroshi Tanahashi is certainly one of the most beloved pro wrestlers of all time. The Ace of NJPW has established himself as one of the greatest professional wrestlers of all time. AEW was also dragged for not knowing how to get Japanese talent over in America.

As seen on last week’s episode of AEW Dynamite, Jon Moxley and Hiroshi Tanahashi had a face-to-face ahead of their Forbidden Door match. Throughout the segment, only Moxly spoke, while Tanahashi didn’t get to utter a single word with him.

While speaking on the Jim Cornette Experience, Jim Cornette heavily criticized the segment. He also dragged AEW for not knowing how to get Japanese talent over in America.

“Who in their right minds thought that it was going to be a good idea to sell this pay-per-view match by having Moxley stand in the ring and browbeat his opponent, who had literally no answer whatsoever and no rebuttal. This is how they expect to get an unknown Japanese superstar over to an American audience?”
