Austin Theory is one of the young and rising stars of WWE and got his foot in the door thanks to Johnny Gargano’s stable, The Way. His first main roster run was subpar but his second run is anything but that.

Theory’s had a solid 2022 so far, as he had a WrestleMania 38 moment with Steve Austin. The young WWE Superstar would then become the new United States Champion. His tutelage under Vince McMahon has proved to be beneficial for him.

While speaking to Ryan Satin on Out of Character, Theory talked about his relationship with Vince McMahon. Theory revealed what advice Vince McMahon gave him.

“I remember standing right at the mirror at [The Gorilla Position], which is right before you go out, and Mr.McMahon was walking up to go into Gorilla and he told me, ‘Go out there and be confident like I know you are.’ I remember that was like the first message that really resonated with me. And this was since we had that meeting, which was probably maybe a few weeks before, so this was the first thing I was really hearing right before I was gonna perform.”

“That kind of sat with me and I was like, ‘He knows I’m confident, and I know I’m confident and I’m not going to go out there and do something that I don’t know how to do. So, I know I got here so let’s go out there and work.’”

Theory also told Vine McMahon he wants to be the face of the company. WWE also got dragged for considering Austin Theory vs John Cena. We’ll have to see if the match happens in the end or not.
