Miro made his debut in AEW back in 2020 and there were a lot of expectations from him as he had proven to be a great performer. After a shaky start with Kip Sabian, Miro redeemed himself after beating Darby Allin for the TNT Championship. AEW was also blasted for underutilizing Miro.
Miro eventually lost the title to Sammy Guevara and eventually fell off the card. He was then absent from AEW television for several months until his return earlier this month.
While speaking on the Keepin’ It 100 podcast, Konnan talked about Miro’s run in AEW so far. Konnan criticized the company for underutilizing Miro.
“Look at Miro how he came in, and he probably, I’m assuming he said f*** this Gamer [persona] bulls**t, you know, let me do this, you know, and they did and look at him, and it’s funny because they hardly use him ever since he turned into [God’s Favorite gimmick] doing this great character. You hardly even see Miro anymore.”
Miro will be taking part in the upcoming four-way match for the inaugural All-Atlantic Championship on June 26 at the Forbidden Door event. We’ll have to see whether Miro will win the match and become the inaugural champion or not.
