Vince McMahon has stepped down as the company’s CEO, which is a surprise change of events. A joint statement from WWE and its Board of Directors confirmed this. After Stephanie McMahon was selected as the interim CEO of WWE, Matt Cardona declared that The Alliance had the final laugh.
The Alliance was a 2001 storyline that saw Team WCW and ECW create an alliance during the Invasion storyline. Following WWF’s takeover of WCW in the same year, the faction was founded. ECW, on the other hand, was later bought. Matt Cardona took to Twitter and wrote about the last laugh.
“The Alliance got the last laugh”
Shane McMahon, Vince McMahon’s son, was the storyline owner of WCW at the time. Stephanie McMahon, his daughter, was the owner of the ECW narrative. Following the current claims against Vince McMahon, he decided to temporarily resign from his post.
Stephanie McMahon, his daughter, is ready to take over as Interim CEO and Chairwoman of the company in his absence. Bill Apter, a Hall of Fame journalist, has weighed in on the subject. He asserted that McMahon’s dynasty is currently falling in an exclusive for Sportskeeda Wrestling. Check out the tweet below.
