Cody Rhodes gave his all in the match against Seth Rollins. However, he did it while having a serious injury. The WWE superstar had a torn pectoral tendon, and he gave out a brilliant performance regardless. The American Nightmare is on the road to recovery, and could even return before his expected time.
Rhodes took to his Instagram story to share an important update on his injury. He shared a picture of himself with huge bruise on the left side of his abdomen, and some on his left arm. While he underwent surgery, apparently it wasn’t a pretty sight.
The WWE superstar told his fans that the majority bruising reached into his ribs and even his hips. He added that the surgery was quite surprising, as there was a “lots LOTS of blood under there.”
Majority bruising has drained down into my ribs and into my hip – surgery was a bear…lots LOTS of blood under there.
American Nightmare Cody is recovering well enough though, as his surgery was successful. Cody’s rehabilitation, if done right, could get him back right on schedule for the Rumble. It’ll give him a lot of hype and attention, with which he could go after the championship.
Michael Cole is proclaiming that his recovery span could be nine months long. He was down at the Nightmare Factory after his surgery. The company is reportedly pushing him as the face of the company, and even filmed his surgery to be used later.
We’re hoping that Rhodes gets back to action sooner than later. He is expected to be back eariler than the initial 9-month return time frame. Only time will tell if he gets that Triple H push when he returns.
