An upcoming book about the life and work of Vince McMahon was set to be released shortly. In light of the recent sex scandal plaguing the WWE CEO, some serious changes will have to be made. Abraham Reisman’s ‘Ringmaster’ looks like it will have to be completely re-written.
News of the Vince McMahon biography broke in late May. Simon & Shuster is set to publish the book. With the way things have changed over the last twenty-four hours, the entire premise now stands on shaky ground at best.
Dave Meltzer talked about the book on the latest Wrestling Observer Radio. The biography was very near completion. With the news of Vince McMahon paying hush money to keep an affair with an employee quiet, everything will have to change.
“I don’t know what I should say here, but, as of yesterday, it did not, as of today, obviously, that book is going to have to be re-written and that’s the reality. That book, I think that that book was largely written. I don’t know if it was 100% done, but it was largely done.
Actually, I know, even before this, it’s not 100% done, I can tell you that, but the book is largely done. There is a manuscript out there, that much I know about, and obviously, that thing is going to have to be ripped up. This changes the entire book. So, as far as Vince’s biography, that changes the entire dynamic, obviously.
Vince McMahon was also rumored to have been shopping his own autobiography to compete with Reisman’s book. That is now highly questionable. Time will tell what becomes of either of the highly anticipated volumes about Mr. McMahon.
