AEW presented fans with an action-packed episode of Dynamite this week, as Road Rager lived up to expectations. It featured a lot of storylines getting built as we head towards the Forbidden Door event. Tony Khan also apologized to fans after the show went off the air.

In the main event of this week’s show, Jurassic Express defended their tag team championships against The Young Bucks. After a brutal ladder match, Matt & Nick Jackson ended up winning the match and became the new champions.

After the match, Christian Cage turned heel and laid out Jungle Boy with a con-chair-to. After Dynamite went off the air, Khan seemingly apologized for Cage’s actions.

Tony Khan repeated that he was “very sorry” about how Dynamite ended this week. Christian Cage was his favorite wrestler as a kid, so that angle was obviously a big deal for him. Then he hyped Rampage and encouraged St. Louis fans to stick around for that show.

He then announced the match card for this week’s Rampage. We will have to wait and see how AEW will be booking Christian Cage now that he is finally a heel in AEW.
