Sheamus has remained one of WWE’s most popular superstars for years. The Dublin native is one of the company’s go-to people when it comes to community outreach due to his huge personality and an unmistakable look. Sheamus will represent the company as he serves as the honorary starter for the upcoming NASCAR Ally 400.

The race takes place on June 26 at Nashville Superspeedway. That is just days before WWE takes over Nissan Stadium in the Music City. Sheamus will wave the green flag to get things started on a huge sports week in Tennessee.

According to The Tennessean, Nashville Superspeedway president and GM Erik Moses couldn’t think of a better honorary starter for the race. Moses praised Sheamus for his athletic feats over the years. He can’t wait for the WWE superstar to experience the thrill of NASCAR racing.

“We’re looking forward to welcoming Sheamus and his legion of fans to Nashville Superspeedway for our race weekend. Sheamus’ athletic feats have earned him a well-earned worldwide following. We can’t wait for him to experience #NASHCAR in all its glory and feel the thrill of waving the green flag from the flag stand later this month!”
