Darby Allin Expected Insane Ladder Spot Would Send Him To The Hospital

Darby Allin has gained a large fan following due to his unique look and character work. Allin has worked hard to become one of the Four Pillars in the company. However, many fans are clearly concerned about Darby Allin’s well-being due to his reckless abandon.

Last month, Darby Allin competed in an ‘Anything Goes Match’ against Jeff Hardy as part of the Owen Hart Cup Tournament. Allin took a huge bump from the top of a ladder onto several chairs. This shocked many fans who were legitimately worried about his life.

While speaking on the “Snakepit,” Jake Roberts recalled Darby Allin telling him how he expected to be sent to the hospital after the insane ladder spot.

“I seen him three days after that and he’s seen me coming and he’s like, ‘Oh, boy,’ he’s already ducking me cause he knows I’m gonna chew his ass! ‘What the f-ck are you doing?’ I said, ‘Tell me what you were thinking before that?’ He goes, ‘Jake, I was starting to go up. When I got up there, I thought, ‘Well, I’m here, I’m going to the hospital. I know I’m going to the hospital this time.’ He said, ‘I was quite shocked that I didn’t! I hit and I started moving stuff and it all still worked, and I thought, It wasn’t that bad!’ I said, ‘That’s the worst thing you could have told me!’”

Darby Allin is currently feuding with The Undisputed Elite after they took out Sting before Doube Or Nothing. Allin is set to square off against Bobby Fish on this week’s episode of AEW Rampage. We’ll have to see who will win the match.
