Ronda Rousey is one of the biggest stars in the WWE Women’s Division right now. The former UFC Champion was catapulted to superstardom in WWE within a brief period of time. She is also optimistic about a huge dream match in WWE.
Rousey became the SmackDown Women’s Champion after defeating Charlotte Flair in an ‘I Quit’ match at WrestleMania Backlash. Rousey also came to WWE back in 2018 after seeing her MMA family succeed in pro wrestling.
The MMA Horsewomen features Ronda Rousey, Shayna Baszler, Marina Shafir, and Jessamyn Duke. The WWE Horsewomen has Becky Lynch, Charlotte Flair, Sasha Banks, and Bayley.
While speaking on The Kurt Angle Show, Ronda Rousey said that she is optimistic a huge match between the MMA Horsewomen and WWE Horsewomen will happen one day.
“Not that I know of; it literally seems like the longest build in the history of women’s wrestling. Like, if this ever happens [laughs],” said Ronda Rousey. “I mean, I would lose my mind, probably. We’ll see, I don’t know. Usually, they don’t think of like the long game for a lot of the stuff that they’re doing. So this is the longest long game that has ever happened in wrestling. So before I retire, I would love to be it a thing with all of us, but I almost don’t want to dare to hope at this point.”
For the time being, Ronda Rousey is set to defend her Smackdown Women’s Championship against Natalya at the Money In The Bank Premium Live Event. We’ll have to see if the dream match will ever happen or not.
