Lance Archer appeared to be one of the mainstays on AEW television and a true veteran in the pro wrestling world. His imposing figure and intensity have made him a top star in the company. Sadly, his television time isn’t what it used to be at all. Now Jake Roberts is also frustrated with Lance Archer’s status in AEW.

Prior to signing with AEW, Lance Archer largely worked in NJPW and competed in some memorable matches. He would sign with AEW back in February of 2020 and since then became one of the mainstays of the company.

While Archer has been involved in title matches, including an AEW World Title match against Adam Page, he has not really seen success in the company yet. While speaking on “DDP Snake Pit,” Jake Roberts expressed his frustration over Lance Archer’s status in AEW.

“It is so frustrating for me to see Lance in the spot that he is in,” Roberts stated. “He’s such a phenomenal athlete, he’s in such great shape, he’s got an unbelievable look. The only thing Lance doesn’t do really well is talk and that’s why they brought me.”

The last TV victory for Archer was a squash match, where he beat Chaos Project’s Serpentico in just over 30 seconds on AEW Rampage. We’ll have to see if Archer will eventually find success in AEW or not.
