Trish Stratus Recalls Getting Standing Ovation Backstage After WrestleMania 22 Match

Trish Stratus is considered one of the most vital female WWE Superstars in the history of the company. She is truly a pioneer when it comes to the overall development of the women’s division in WWE. Stratus also recalled getting a standing ovation backstage after WrestleMania 22.

At WrestleMania 22, Trish Stratus defended her WWE Women’s Championship against Mickie James. It turned out to be one of the best women’s matches in the company, as it saw James beat her idol Stratus for the title.

While speaking on Busted Open Radio, Trish Stratus recalled her and Mickie James getting a standing ovation once they made their way to the back after WrestleMania 22.

“Mickie James, you know, and Trish Stratus’ match at WrestleMania 22 was everything, it really had every component you could ever ask for as a superstar,” Stratus said. “The best part for me personally, I don’t know about you [Mickie], but when we came out, you know, through the curtain and having all our colleagues there giving us a standing O and giving us that applause was just so gratifying.”

Trish Stratus also wants to make a return to WWE in an authority role. She also made it clear she wants a piece of Becky Lynch. We’ll have to see whether that will happen or not.
