Tessa Blanchard was the first-ever women’s World Champion in Impact Wrestling after she defeated Sami Callihan back in 2020. Things took a sharp downward spiral from there. Controversy exploded surrounding Blanchard around that time. She was eventually released by Impact Wrestling in 2020 after no-showing events for a year as well.

Tessa Blanchard was previously deemed to be “nuclear” after numerous stories of backstage abuse. To add to that, Blanchard was alleged to have called La Rosa Negra a racial slur to her face but she denied those allegations.

She started working in WOW Women of Wrestling but even there, she had a huge fallout. It was believed that she had burned bridges with the promotion as well.

According to Brad Shepard, who has broken several stories in the past, WoW Women of Wrestling has released Tessa Blanchard.
