Drew McIntyre has worked hard to establish himself as one of the top stars in WWE. He is a former 2-time WWE Champion and is truly an inspiration to many pro wrestlers. McIntyre also looked back on his journey on the anniversary of his WWE release.

The Scottish Warrior had a long and hard path to success in WWE. He was introduced as The Chosen One by Vince McMahon but he never quite found success during his first run in WWE.

He was released back in 2014 and chose to reinvent himself in the indies, before returning to the company in 2017. McIntyre took to Twitter and looked back on his pro wrestling journey on the anniversary of his WWE release 8 years ago.

Hell of a journey but plenty more work to be done…

McIntyre also struggled with mental health issues in the past. McIntyre is likely to duke it out with Roman Reigns at WWE Clash at the Castle in Cardiff in September. It remains to be seen when the company will start booking the feud.
