WWE Possibly Preparing Sami Zayn For Big Character Change

Sami Zayn has become a midcard heel on SmackDown since aligning himself with former arch-rival Kevin Owens a few years back. Since then, he has won the Intercontinental Championship and aligned with folks such as Shinsuke Nakamura and The Bloodline. Although he has become a reliable heel for the company, many fans of the black and gold era of NXT still remember his work as the underdog babyface. Now, it appears Zayn could be heading back in that direction.

WWE recently uploaded a video of Zayn’s interaction with the Bloodline. For weeks, Zayn has been trying to get into the good gracious of Roman Reigns and his family. However, it’s clear that the Bloodline wants nothing to do with Zayn despite his efforts to prove himself as an reliable member of the group.

The compilation video not only shows Zayn with the Bloodline but also his segment with Owens. During the segment, Owens tried to convince Zayn that the Bloodline only cares about themselves. At one point in the video, Zayn is shown quietly ditching his green outfit and military patrol style “Fidel Castro” hat. Check out the compilation video below.

With Money in the Bank just a few short weeks away, there are loads of possibilities where WWE can go with this story. If Reigns suddenly shows up on television more, Zayn holding the briefcase could be the next direction for the story, Until then, we’ll have to see if any consequences are coming for Zayn after losing to Riddle this week on SmackDown. Hopefully Reigns is too busy to remember, for his sake.
