Tony Khan Is Very Nervous About CM Punk’s Surgery

CM Punk was able to defeat Adam Page at AEW Double Or Nothing to become the new AEW World Champion and the whole world rejoiced. Many expected him to have a dream run as the champion but that isn’t going to happen anymore. Tony Khan is also nervous about CM Punk’s surgery.

As seen on last week’s episode of AEW Rampage, CM Punk revealed that he is injured and will undergo surgery. A new system to crown the interim AEW World Champion was made official as well.

While speaking on Busted Open Radio, Tony Khan talked about CM Punk’s injury. Tony Khan admitted he was very nervous about the surgery but also optimistic he will recover well.

”It is a setback, but we’re really excited to get CM Punk back. He’s going to have surgery here quickly and I’m very nervous, but pretty optimistic because he’s going to be seeing one of the top doctors in the entire world and someone really renowned in sports medicine. We were fortunate to get him in quickly. We’re excited to get him back.”

CM Punk is also unlikely to be out of action for a long time. There is still no date for his surgery either. We’ll have to see when CM Punk will return to AEW television as fans will simply be happy to see him back.
