Jeff Hardy exhibited some erratic behavior during his final days with WWE. Many fans thought Jeff was having some sort of personal problems. In the end, it turned out he just was not happy there anymore.

Since leaving WWE, Jeff Hardy has found himself much happier in AEW. Hardy has reunited with his brother, Matt Hardy. The creative freedom has been a breath of fresh air.

During his recent appearance on “Talk Is Jericho,” Jeff Hardy talked about those strange final days with Vince McMahon’s company. Hardy said he “felt like a ghost” during that period. When he was booked into the WWE 24/7 title picture, he knew it was too much.

“I was pretty crushed that day, I was like, ‘Okay, this is it, I don’t know why I am here, they’re really doing this to me. That’s not an arrogant thing to say … I shouldn’t be doing that, but I did it and I was like, ‘Man, what does this mean?’”

Matt Hardy had a similar reflection of his time in the 24/7 Championship scene. The segments are usually reserved for comic relief. Matt and Jeff Hardy didn’t think it was appropriate for their characters.

Jeff Hardy is currently rehabbing some injuries that he has been dealing with since before the AEW Double or Nothing pay-per-view. Not even age has stopped him from his legendary death-defying stunts. Pain comes with the territory, but Jeff is much happier now that he’s putting his body on the line in AEW rather than in comedy segments.
